Introduction

SRF05 Ultrasonic Distance Sensor is a compact ultrasonic ranging module designed for accurate obstacle detection and distance measurement in embedded electronics and robotics systems. This ultrasonic ranging unit extends the classic SRF04 sensing capability, delivering measurement distances from as close as 1 cm up to 4 meters. Operating at a 40 kHz ultrasonic frequency, this distance measurement module emits sound pulses and calculates range using echo timing. The sensor board easily interfaces with common microcontrollers including Arduino, making this ultrasonic measurement module a practical solution for robotics navigation, automation experiments, and interactive electronics projects.


Extended Measurement Range with High Sensitivity

This ultrasonic distance detection module expands sensing capability beyond earlier SRF04 designs, increasing the measurable range from 3 m to 4 m while also improving the minimum detectable distance to just 1 cm.
