u-blox BMD-380 Bluetooth Module

u-blox BMD-380 Bluetooth Module is a small form factor advanced highly flexible and ultra-low power multiprotocol System on Module (SoM). This module enables Bluetooth 5 low energy and IEEE 802.15.4 (Thread and Zigbee) connectivity for portable and extremely low power embedded systems. The BMD-380 module comes with an Arm® Cortex®-M4 with a Floating-Point Unit (FPU) processor integrated 2.4GHz transceiver and an integrated antenna. This Bluetooth module provides a complete RF solution allowing faster time to market. The BMD-380 module also reduces development costs and full use of the Nordic Semiconductor nRF52840’s capabilities and peripherals. The BMD-380 device is an ideal solution for designs that require Bluetooth 5 features or 802.15.4 based networking for Thread and Zigbee. This module features a built-in USB and 5.5V compatible DC/DC supply that reduces design complexity and BOM cost while expanding possible applications. The BMD-380 module is available in 9.5mm x 7.5mm x 1.5mm dimensions. Typical applications include home appliances access control Internet of Things (IoT) home health care advanced remote controls smart energy management and low-power sensor networks.
