Grove Smart IR Gesture Sensor
- 15+ Built-in Hand Gesture Recognition : Recognize over 15 built-in hand gestures including swipe, pinch, tap, grab, rotation, thumb up/down and static gestures. No model training or algorithm development is required, allowing developers to quickly add gesture interaction to their projects.
- Ready to Use — No Vision Algorithm Required : Built-in AI gesture recognition eliminates the need for OpenCV, camera calibration or model training. Simply connect to your MCU and receive gesture results directly through I²C.
- Easy Integration with Grove and XIAO : Supports Grove and Seeed Studio XIAO interfaces for quick connection through I²C. Images can also be transmitted to a PC through the USB Type-C interface, making development, debugging and evaluation easier.
- Reliable Gesture Detection in Different Lighting Conditions : Equipped with an infrared camera and onboard LED fill light, the sensor delivers stable gesture recognition in both bright and low-light environments with a detection range of 5–40 cm.
Grove Smart IR Gesture Sensor is an intelligent gesture recognition module equipped with an infrared camera sensor and applied AI algorithm. It can detect over 15 gestures with wide detection while supporting both IIC and SPI communication. This module also allows Grove, Type-C, and Seeed Studio XIAO direct connecting.
Grove Smart IR Gesture Sensor is an intelligent gesture recognition module equipped with a PAG7646J1 infrared camera module, a PAG7661QN (ISP), and an LED fill light. It recognizes and interprets hand gestures through image recognition of the picture taken by the infrared camera, enabling clear gesture recognition even in dark environments.
The sensor supports various multi-finger gestures such as N-finger push, pinch, tap, grab, rotation, thumb up, thumb down, static gesture (1 to 5 fingers), and swipe. It can detect over 15 different types of hand gestures, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. With a detection range of 5-40cm, it provides accurate and reliable gesture recognition.
The High Compatibility of the sensor makes it easy to integrate into your projects. It is compatible with the XIAO series interface and supports the Arduino ecosystem by the Grove connector through the I2C connector. Gesture result data can be obtained by connecting to an MCU via the SPI pinhole, or Images can be displayed on a PC host through the Type-C interface. This flexibility makes it easy to use with a variety of systems and platforms.
