Introduction
The Gravity: LoRaWAN Node Module (EU868) is a high-performance, easy-to-deploy wireless communication module designed for long-distance, low-power data transmission in outdoor IoT scenarios. Based on the SX1262 RF chip and LoRa modulation technology, this module operates in the EU868 frequency band (suitable for Europe and other regions adopting this band) and supports both LoRa point-to-point (P2P) and LoRaWAN networking protocols. It delivers effective communication distances of up to 1.2 kilometers in urban areas and 4 kilometers in open spaces, making it ideal for sensor node applications in agriculture, environmental monitoring, and smart outdoor systems.
Dual Communication Modes: LoRa & LoRaWAN
The module supports flexible switching between LoRa P2P and LoRaWAN protocols.
In LoRa mode, it enables direct one-to-one, one-to-many, many-to-one, and bridge communications.
In LoRaWAN mode, it supports both Class A and Class C operation, and can be integrated into networks like The Things Network (TTN) and ChirpStack via ABP or OTAA activation methods.
Reliable Long-Range Transmission
Equipped with an onboard PCB antenna and LoRa technology, the module provides
1.2 km effective range in urban environments
4 km effective range in open areas: The module ensures stable and reliable communication across large outdoor areas, overcoming limitations of WiFi or 4G in power consumption and range.
Low Power Consumption, Ideal for Battery-Powered Nodes
LoRa modulation technology allows for ultra-low power operation, significantly extending the battery life of remote sensor nodes compared to WiFi or cellular-based solutions, making it suitable for long-term deployment in power-constrained environments.
Plug-and-Play with Wide Compatibility
No low-level protocol development is required. The module integrates a complete LoRa/LoRaWAN protocol stack and supports Arduino IDE, Mind+, and MakeCode graphical programming environments.
Compatible with micro:bit, Arduino, ESP32, and other 3.3V/5V development boards.
Standard I2C and UART interfaces simplify hardware integration.
