This 8 Relay Control Board gives you opto-isolated logic-level control over 8 channels of relays. Unfortunately we populated the wrong relays and as a result the board doesn't operate at 5V as designed. Instead you'll need to supply 12V to the header labeled "5V 1A INPUT" (This also renders the USB-C power connector useless.) In addition despite the board having headers for normally-open (NO) and normally-closed (NC) connections the relays that were populated only have normally-open connections. If you can make use of these boards you can get one at a bargain while we get to work on a new batch. The rest of the board's features remain intact: Each relay channel is opto-isolated from its corresponding logic input the inputs accept both 3V and 5V logic and a status LED on each channel makes it easy to tell at a glance which relay is energized. All LEDs on the board including the power indicator are connected through cuttable solder jumpers so they can be disabled if you don't need them. The relays are rated to 10A/250VAC making them useful for a lot of power control applications. But be aware that the ground plane runs underneath the relays and is not isolated for high-voltage. They pull about 40mA when energized so we recommend a 12V 0.5A supply for the coils. Mistakes Were Made: This product is defective! As such we're offering it at a deep discount.
