Introduction

This is a powerful, user-friendly LoRaWAN indoor gateway (915 MHz / US915/AU915) designed to drastically simplify private IoT. It bridges long-range LoRa wireless protocols to standard IP networks using a stable 8-channel Semtech SX1302 chip.

Its key differentiators are integrated software solutions—a built-in SIoT local server, onboard Node-RED, a "scan-to-join" function, and a data parser—which eliminate the need for external cloud services. Powered by a Quad-core CPU with 512MB RAM, 16GB eMMC, and dual Ethernet/WiFi, it is ideal for creating private, fee-free, and responsive IoT networks for smart gardens, greenhouses, and environmental monitoring.

Simplified "Scan-to-Join" Network Access

Traditionally, adding LoRaWAN nodes involves a cumbersome process of manual registration and key provisioning. This gateway introduces an innovative scanning method that automates node registration and network access. This feature streamlines the setup process, making node deployment as simple and intuitive as connecting a new device to a WiFi hotspot, thereby significantly reducing the complexity for beginners and hobbyists.

Integrated SIoT Local Server for True Privacy

A standout feature is the fully integrated SIoT local area network server. This design moves all data processing and management from the cloud directly onto the gateway itself. It eliminates the reliance on third-party cloud platforms, saving on recurring subscription fees and server maintenance costs. Data remains private and secure within the local network. Users can directly access and control node data via MQTT, ensuring low latency and continuous operation even without an internet connection.

Onboard Node-RED Visual Programming

The gateway comes with Node-RED pre-installed. Node-RED is a powerful, flow-based visual programming tool that enables the rapid development of IoT applications. Users can simply drag and drop nodes and connect wires to build complex automation logic, create dashboards, or integrate with other services. This low-code environment empowers makers and developers to build sophisticated applications, data-driven triggers, and custom alerts directly on the gateway without deep coding expertise.

Built-in Data Parser for Ready-to-Use Data

Raw sensor data is often transmitted in complex, unreadable formats (e.g., hexadecimal bytes). This gateway features a built-in data parser that automatically translates this raw data into human-readable formats, such as "28℃" or "70% humidity." This parsed data is immediately available for use in SIoT or Node-RED. Furthermore, the parser is customizable via JS script imports, allowing developers to define custom parsing rules for unique or non-standard sensors.
