When you normally want to connect an LCD to a Raspberry Pi, you would normally use the HDMI interface or the DSI interface for the connection. In both cases, you would need an additional power supply to power the LCD.

What if there is an LCD that does not need an additional cable for the power supply and saves you from taking additional cables when traveling with your Raspberry Pi?

We are happy to bring you this LCD that only uses a single DSI interface for both power supply and data transmission. It has a 5-Inch LCD capacitive touchscreen with multi-touch support and has a resolution of 800x480. The panel is TN, which means, it has a very low power consumption with short response time and a high refresh rate. It is very easy to set up this LCD with a Raspberry Pi without needing any additional drivers, making it truly a plug-and-play display.
